For the third time in the season, twice in regular season action and now once in post season play, the Sentinels have beaten the Coyotes from Williston. As the No. 7 seed from the West, Minot North hosted the No. 10 seed from Williston in a play-in contest and took the 75-56 win to advance.

The win puts the No. 7 Minot North Sentinels up against the No. 2 Minot High Magicians on Thursday, March 6, at the Bismarck Event Center in the NDHSAA Division AA West Regional Tournament.

The No. 1 Bismarck Century Patriots will take on the winner between Bismarck St. Mary’s and Jamestown who play today while the No. 4 Mandan Braves face the No. 5 Bismarck Legacy Sabers in the upper bracket of the tournament.

Besides the two Minot teams in the lower bracket, No. 3 Bismarck High will face No. 6 Dickinson in the final quarterfinal game of day one for the tourney.
