Kenmare-Bowbells in final, Berthold playing for third in Div B girls state

JAMESTOWN – The semifinal games are complete and one local team is in the final while the other is playing for third place today in the 2025 NDHSAA Division B Girls Basketball State Tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center.
No. 2 Kenmare-Bowbells 52, No. 3 Central McLean 49
In a close-fought contest in the first semifinal matchup, the Kenmare-Bowbells girls edged Central-McLean for a shot at the state championship to cap a stellar season. The Honkers had spent time as the top ranked team in Division B polls at times but needed to battle to get to the state tournament after a one point loss to Berthold in the Region 3 championship game.
Central McLean will take the court in the third place match today against that same Region 3 champion team- Berthold.
No. 4 Benson County 59, No. 1 Berthold 51
In an upset, Benson County edged the top seeded Berthold girls to make it to the state final. The Bombers will face Central McLean at 6 p.m. today for third place in the state tournament while Benson County will take on the Honkers in the title tilt at 8 p.m. at the Jamestown Civic Center for the state championship.
