GRAND FORKS – University of North Dakota (UND) head soccer coach Henrik Sohn announced the addition of Cameron Hunter to the 2025 coaching staff.

“I am thrilled to welcome Cameron to our coaching staff! Having known Cameron for many years–first as a player I coached and later as my assistant–I have seen firsthand his dedication, leadership, and passion for the game. He is not only an outstanding coach but also an exceptional mentor and role model. I couldn’t be more excited to have him on board. With Cameron’s expertise and leadership, we will continue to elevate this program and guide our student-athletes to success. Welcome, Cam!”

Hunter comes to UND from Kansas Wesleyan University, where he was the assistant coach for the men’s soccer program. At KSU, Hunter aided the recruitment of over 99 student-athletes for over 2 seasons, helped improve the team GPA from 2.5 to 3.3, improved the team record by 11 wins from 2-14-1 to 13-5-2 in first season.

Cameron Hunter returned to his Alma mater and joined the Kansas Wesleyan coaching staff in August 2021 where he coached with the women’s program in 2022, before moving to the men’s program in spring of 2023.

Hunter’s coaching experience also includes time with Salina Central High School as the head coach for both the boys’ and girls’ teams. He was also a head coach for Puma FC and the United Premier Soccer League.
