All Tournament Hockey Teams

Kari Gibb/MDN Minot High senior Mackley Morelli (21) was named the NDHSAA Boys Hockey Senior Athlete of the Year while Brynn Hanson (3) was named to the NDHSAA All Girls Hockey Tournament Team as the lone Majette on the list.

Minot High had the girls and boys hockey team both compete in the state tournament. After several days of tough play the Majettes finished fourth and the Magi finished in third. The All Tournament teams were released and several Minot High athletes received titles.

On the girls side, Des Lacs-Burlington athlete playing for Minot High- Brynn Hanson- was selected for the All-Tournament Team. Hanson made the team as a forward and earned four points with two goals and two assists at the state tournament. In the quarter final game against Bismarck Century Hansen also made the game winning goal.

Other members of the All Tournament Team were forwards Payton Stocker from West Fargo and Alyssa Krikorian from Bismarck Legacy/Bismarck High. The defenseman selected were Kinleigh Fisher from Fargo North/South and Mya Mannausau from Grand Forks. The goaltender for the All Tournament Team was Rylee Otto From Bismarck Legacy/Bsimarck High. Otto was also named tournament MVP.

Grand Forks Coach Kelly Kilgore was named 2025 Girls Hockey Coach of the Year after a very successful season. Avery Matt from Bismarck Century earned the title of Girls Hockey Senior Athlete of the Year.

At the boys hockey state tournament the east region took over most of the awards given out.

The boys Hockey All-Tournament team consisted of only Grand Forks and Fargo athletes. Grand Forks Central, alongside a first place finish at the state tournament, had two athletes make the All-Tournament Team. Defenseman Finn Lockwood and Cooper Deziel as a forward. Deziel was also named tournament MVP.

West Fargo High and Grand Forks Red River each had two athletes make the all tournament team. West Fargo athletes were Forward Bryce Mattern and Defenseman Noah Betker. The two Grand Forks Red River athletes were Rylan Bydal as a forward and Rilan Korynta as a goaltender.

Minot High took both the 2024-2025 NDHSAA Boys Hockey Senior Athlete of the Year and Coach of the Year. Magi Mackley Morelli earned his Senior Athlete of the Year title after many seasons of competing with Minot High. Morelli claimed most goals, most points and most assists in the 2024-25 season in the Western Dakota Association. Morelli earned 61 points, made up of 30 goals and 31 assists.

Coach of the Year was awarded to two individuals. Minot High Coaches Jason Bennet and Jordan Willert. These two have coached their athletes to a 26-2 winning record for the season and a fourth place finish at state.
