All District 6 Boys Basketball Team members honored

Kari Gibb/MDN As the District 6 Boys Basketball Tournament was completed, the coaches voted on the All District 6 Boys Basketball Team.

As the Division B, District 6 Boys Basketball Tournament concluded over last weekend, the members of the teams in the district were honored with coach voting to be named to the All District 6 Boys Team.

The winners of the tournament, Our Redeemer’s Christian School, had three players named to the list. Nolan Schmidt, Wyatt Weekley and Jace Weekley were named to the squad.

The runners up at the tournament, Bishop Ryan, also had three players named to the roster. Ramsey Walz, Jett Lundeen and Hayden Seay were honored as members of the team.

Westhope-Newburg, who placed third, also had three athletes named to the list. Hunter Tolstad, Braden Bailey and Walker Braaten were named to the team.

Velva, who placed fourth, also had three athletes voted to the team. Reggie Bruner, Ben Schepp and Mason McPeak were voted to the team.

Mohal-Lansford-Sherwood had three players voted on as well. Eli Undlin, Carson Nett and Reid Morlock were named to the roster.

Glenburn and TGU each had one athlete voted to the team. Aidyn Derr from the Panthers and Jaxon Nelson from the Mavericks were voted to the team as well.

The District 6 Senior Athlete of the Year as voted was Walker Braaten from Westhope-Newburg. The District 6 Coach of the Year was Isaac Sondrol from Velva.

The next stop for many on this list is the Division B, Region 3 Boys Basketball Tournament that kicks off on March 10 next week.
