Airport employee earns accreditation distinction

Maria Romanick

Minot International Airport Operations and Maintenance Manager Maria Romanick has earned and been awarded the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

To qualify for this distinction, Romanick successfully completed three phases of the accreditation process, including passing a 180-item multiple-choice examination and fulfilling a writing requirement. She also participated in an interview with a panel of Accredited Airport Executives to demonstrate her knowledge of airport finance, administration, planning, construction, environmental issues, airport operations, security, maintenance, communications and community relations.

Fewer than 6% of AAAE’s members throughout the country are active accredited airport executives.

AAAE’s 10,000 plus members represent more than 850 airports as well as hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry.
