WDA Duals Tournament complete

BISMARCK – The Western Dakota Association (WDA) Duals Tournament was held in Bismarck over the weekend. The WDA is split into pools.

In Pool A, Bismarck Century was the top finisher at 4-0 while Legacy was second, Williston third and Dickinson was fourth. In Pool B, Bismarck High was first at 5-0 while Minot High was second at 3-2 with Mandan in third and Bismarck St. Mary’s in fourth.

In the quarterfinals of the WDA Dual Tourney, the 3A reps- Williston- beat Minot High 41-21 to advance to the semifinals.

At 114, Eliah Rogers won and at 145 Kaden Kraft won for Minot High. Magicians Noah Bledsoe (172), Evan Berg (189) and Tucker Nelson (215) also won their matches for the 21 team points in the quarterfinals.

In round one of the consolation bracket, Minot High beat St. Mary’s 41-24 to advance. Nelson at 215, Lincoln Brooks at 285, Jack Combs at 107, Korbin Kraft at 127, Kaden Philion at 133, Kaden Kraft at 145, Bledsoe at 174 and Evan Berg at 189 won their matches for the 41 team points.

The final WDA dual for Minot High was against the second seeds from Pool A- Legacy. The Sabers and Magicians contest was for state dual qualifying. Legacy won 57-16 for the final qualifying slot to the state dual meet.

At 114, Rogers was a winner for Minot High. Kaden Kraft at 152 was also a winner. The final win for Minot High was Bledsoe at 172 in the match.

Bismarck High defeated Bismarck Century 36-25 for the WDA Champions title with the four reps at the state meet being Williston, Bismarck Legacy, Bismarck Century and the winners of the WDA Dual Tournament, Bismarck High.

2025 NDHSAA Class A Boys Wrestling Team Dual State Tournament will be at the Fargodome starting February 22.
