Dallas Reese leads MSU at UMary Winter Classic
BISMARCK – Minot State University (MSU) senior thrower Dallas Reese led the way for a small contingent of Beavers competing Saturday at the UMary Winter Classic as he finished third in the shot put with a personal-best effort of 50 feet even.
While Reese led the way for the MSU men, Afton Wride led the Beaver women as she was fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 4.25 inches, and fifth in the long jump with a mark of 16-3.25.
Also competing for the MSU women was Erica Nelson, who was 11th in the shot put with a throw of 34-11.
On the men’s side, Ethan Graham was 16th in the shot put for the Beavers with a mark of 44-6.75, while Evan Hartt was 12th in the weight throw with a distance of 46-4 and 21st in the shot put with a throw of 42-6.75.
The MSU track and field teams will be back in action next weekend as the Beavers head to Grand Forks for the UND Open on Saturday hosted by North Dakota.
