Majettes fourth at Bismarck meet
BISMARCK – The Majettes traveled to Bismarck to compete with all eight of the Western Dakota Association (WDA) schools in attendance at the Bismarck Ziegler Meet for girls gymnastics.
Dickinson won their third meet of the season while Jamestown’s Julia Skari was the all around winner. Minot High finished fourth behind Dickinson at first, Jamestown at second and Century at third.
“Only six gymnasts were allowed to compete on each event,” said head coach Robbie Werchau. “Floor was our best event. We still have some injured girls, so once we’re healed up I’ll feel better about getting a sense of what we’re actually capable of.”
Minot High junior Pavyn Peterson and 7th grader Adylin Belnap were the top scorers at the event for the Majettes. Peterson was sixth in the all around and Belnap was ninth for the Minot High.
The team has a short break until the Jamestown meet on January 3 to start the new year. The Northwest Stars Invite will be the following day on January 4 as the team preps for the February 7 Minot Invite.
