SANTA FE, N.M. — The Western Governors’ Foundation has announced the launch of the

2025 Western Governors’ Leadership Institute, a program designed to recognize, reward and promote leadership by young adults across the West.

Selected delegates will attend a leadership development forum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on June 22, featuring conversations with governors, chief executive officers and other prominent thought leaders. They also will attend the Annual Meeting of the Western Governors’ Association from June 23-25 as guests of the foundation. The foundation covers all expenses associated with delegate participation.

Applicants for the leadership forum must be between the ages of 21 and 26 on June 22. They must also be permanent residents of western states or territories whose governor is an active member of WGA, including North Dakota, Montana and South Dakota. Enrolled members of state and federally recognized tribes living in the West also are eligible to apply.
