Royals’ Trader named Region 6 Athlete of Year
The South Prairie-Max Royals won the region 6 championship and their senior leader, Azjiah Trader gathered another honor. The Lady Royal was named the Region 6 Athlete of the Year.
Trader was also named the 2024 District 12 Athlete of the Year as well.
The athlete of the year was joined by the South Prairie-Max coach, Keturah Schwarzrock as the 2024 Region 6 Coach of the Year.
The all region 6 team had representation from 11 schools.
Our Redeemer’s Christian School had three players. Mikayla Altringer, Tavia Carlson and Elivia Ebel were each voted onto the team.
South Prairie-Max had two athletes make the roster. Delaney Hankel joined Trader on the team.
Des Lacs-Burlington also had two players voted on. Logen Ystaas and Kaylee Werner were voted onto the list.
Kyra Beckman from Bottineau, Bailey Clott of Drake-Anamoose, Lacie Deplazes from Rugby, Kenna Huff from Nedrose, Emma Jones of Glenburn, Anya Olson of Velva, Ashley Martodam of TGU join Kasey Simons from Berthold to round out the roster for the team.
South Prairie-Max as the Region 6 Champions will head to the 2024 NDHSAA Class B Volleyball Tournament next week.
