The Minot State University (MSU) Beavers women’s hockey team is heading to Lynchburg, Virginia, to take on top ranked Liberty University in a three-game series.

Game one was scheduled for Thursday, November 21, at 7:30 pm, game two is scheduled for Friday, November 22, at 6:30 pm, and game three is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, at 6:30 pm.

The sixth ranked Beavers are currently 10-4-1 on the season, and #1 Liberty University is currently 9-1-0 on the season.

MSU is coming off of a hard fought two-game series against #4 Adrian College. The Beavers fell to Adrian College 2-4 on Friday, November 15, in game one, and tied in regulation 2-2 in game two on Saturday, November 16, eventually falling in the shootout 0-1.

The Beavers battled against Adrian College, and are looking to bounce back when they take on Liberty University.

Historically, MSU and Liberty have been two evenly matched teams. The Beavers currently hold three wins over Liberty, while Liberty holds five wins over MSU.

The last match-up between these two teams was back on March 16, 2024, in the ACHA WD1 playoffs where the Beavers won by a final score of 2-1 in 2OT. The Beavers will be looking to pick up where they left off with Liberty when they take them on in this three-game series.

Journey Miller is the leading forward in points scored and goals scored with 15 points on the season and eight goals on the season.

Paige Ackerman is the leading defensemen in points scored with ten points on the season, and Makenna Beard is the leading defensemen in goals scored with three goals on the season.

Haylie Biever leads the way in goal for the Beavers with a 4-3-0 record and a save percentage of 0.936.

Following the three-game series against #1 Liberty University, the Beavers will be headed to Jamestown, North Dakota for a two-game series against the University of Jamestown.

Game one is scheduled for Friday, December 6, at 7:00 pm, and game two is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, at 3:30 pm.
