Kari GIbb/MDN Velva/Garrison/Drake-Anamoose senior Ben Schepp (10) was named the NDHSCA Class A Football Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year.

The 2024 North Dakota High School Coaches Association (NDHSCA) Class A Football All-State Roster was released and several local players made the team.

The state champion Velva/Garrison/Drake-Anamoose Aggies were well represented and the top player of the season was quarterback / defensive back Ben Schepp who was announced as the NDHSCA Class A Football Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year.

In addition to Schepp, the Aggies had three other players named to the first team offense and defensive rosters. Seniors Reggie Bruner, Hank Bodine and Treyson Iglehard were each named to the first teams.

Also making the roster for the first team offense were Bishop Ryan students Jett Lundeen at quarterback and Cade Okeson for the offensive line.

Senior Khaliel Abdurrahman from Bottineau was named to the starting offense as well as a receiver.

Seniors Kayl Sieg and Tallen Thorson were named to the first team defense while sophomore Chritian Mertz joined them on the roster all representing Harvey-Wells County.

The Aggies had two seniors on the second team as Kyle Volson and Bradyn Bossert were named. Bishop Ryan senior Drew Zwak and junior Gus Englehard also made the second team.

Des Lacs-Burlington senior Jacob Sschaefer, Stanley senior Drake Schlosser, Bottineau senior Bud Wilkie and Ray-Powers Lake senior Cody Rice were all named to the second team as well.
