Minot High, Minot North both suffer losses

The Minot High Magicians hosted the Jamestown Blue Jays in a defensive struggle that lasted most of the game. Jamestown scored three goals in the last 12 minutes of play for the 3-0 win over the Magicians.

Carter Genter took a pass from Iddi Ramadhanin with 12 minutes to play to score the first goal of the game for either team. Ian Lere scored the second goal with four minutes left to play on a pass from Jackson Steele. Ramadhani scored the third goal unassisted with two minutes left to play for the final score for Jamestown.

Magicians goalie Grayden Wald had four saves in the game while Grant Lunde for Jamestown had ten saves.

Minot High will travel to Bismarck High for the final regular season game on Thursday, October 3.

Bismarck Century 6,

Minot North 0

The Sentinels made the trip to Bismarck to take on Century. The home team took the 6-0 win despite a solid first half of play by Minot North.

Century scored the first goal of the game in the first minute of play for the 1-0 lead that stayed in place until the second half of play.

In the second half, the Patriots added five more goals for the win, scoring one minute into the second half as well.

Macklin Kelly had 12 saves in net for the Sentinels while Kaden Herman had eight saves in goal for Century.

Minot North will travel to Mandan-St. Mary’s on Thursday, October 3, for their final regular season game.
