MSU, First Western Bank agree to 10-year naming rights at Herb Parker Stadium
There have been a lot of changes happening at Herb Parker Stadium throughout the summer and into the fall. First, new field turf was installed as part of a project. Now, Minot State has announced a 10-year naming rights agreement with First Western Bank, giving the football and soccer field a slightly different name.
Starting immediately, Herb Parker Stadium will now be known as First Western Bank Field at Herb Parker Stadium, thanks to the newly announced agreement.
“We are excited to unveil this new playing surface that will enhance the experiences of Beaver athletic teams and our individual student-athletes,” MSU President Dr. Steven Shirley said through a press release. “First Western Bank has a long history of partnering with Minot State, and their support of this important campus enhancement is sincerely appreciated,” he said.
The working relationship between MSU and First Western Bank dates back to 1964, when the bank was founded. Since then, the two have worked together with the common goal of wanting to make an impact on the Minot community.
“Our efforts to improve the Minot community unites us, and the importance of higher education in the Magic City is immeasurable. We are excited about this partnership, and we are looking forward to many years of athletic excellence on the First Western Bank Field at Herb Parker Stadium,” Brenda Foster, the chairman, president, and CEO of First Western Bank & Trust said through a press release.
This partnership marks a new chapter for MSU, as this will be the first time that the field has a name. Fans who make their way to First Western Bank Field at Herb Parker Stadium will see the newly added First Western Bank Field text on the playing surface.
With the new agreement in place, this is an exciting time for both Minot State and First Western Bank, as both look to improve on an already strong foundation of a working relationship and partnership.
