Thank you for your support of Minot AFB
Neighbors,
As we celebrate the holiday season, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the City of Minot and the incredible surrounding communities. Your unwavering support, partnership, and kindness make Minot not just where we live, but a true home for the men and women of Minot Air Force Base.
Minot’s warmth and generosity shines brightly throughout the year, but it is especially felt through the city’s participation in helping to send our Airmen home, an incredible initiative that raises funds to send young Airmen to visit their families during the holiday season, free of charge. This year’s fundraiser has been more successful than ever, and we are so grateful.
Whether through your participation in Operation Home for the Holidays events, your support of military families, or the countless gestures of goodwill extended to our Airmen, your actions remind us why Minot is a special place to live and serve.
The mission of Minot Air Force Base is one of great importance: providing strategic deterrence and global strike capabilities through the efforts of the 5th Bomb Wing and the 91st Missile Wing. This mission could not succeed without the support and partnership of the Minot community. You play an essential role in making sure our Airmen and their families feel welcome, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.
This season we are reminded of the strength of community and the positive impact a neighbor can have. From all of us at Minot Air Force Base, your neighbors to the north, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful and peaceful holiday season!
Very Respectfully,
Jesse W. Lamarand, Colonel, USAF
Commander, 5th Bomb Wing
James L. Schlabach, Colonel, USAF
Commander, 91st Missile Wing
