Trump saving, not abusing America

Trump Saving, Not Abusing America.

In a recent letter to this paper, one contributor likened Trump’s executive orders to family abuse, the abuse of the family of the United States. While every analogy limps, this one didn’t even crawl.

Consider the abuse to the U.S. family, and individual families, the last four years under the previous Biden administration. According to a November 2023 analysis performed by the Joint Economic Committee, it now costs $11,400 more a year to buy the basics and have the same standard of living as in January 2021, visiting incredible stress (i.e. economic abuse) on especially middle and lower-middle class families.

Along these lines DOGE, having only begun their assigned task of creating government efficiency via eliminating waste, has discovered, in just the first agency it’s examined (i.e. USAID), shocking waste and corruption. This includes $1.5 million for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs in Serbia, $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia, $2 million for sex changes and LGBT activism in Guatemala, $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary-gendered language” and $6.3 million for “men who have sex with men” in South Africa (not my wording, but how it’s itemized by USAID). Now there you have some major abuse of hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet.

Another point made was that Trump was guilty of emotional abuse by calling his Presidential opponent names. Now this most certainly has to bring a chuckle to any fair-minded American after some of the choice insulting epithets leveled against Trump by Kamala Harris, her campaign, and her media surrogates, specifically “Hitler,” “Nazi,” and “Fascist,” the name-calling escalating to such a frenzy, it was arguably a contributing cause of two assassination attempts against President Trump.

The accusation of “denying healthcare and opportunities to LGBTQ+ youth” is code for the mutilation of children’s genitalia in a vain attempt to become the opposite sex, something that is couched in the pleasant sounding, albeit deceptive, euphemistic phrase “gender affirming care.” Many sorely regret this decision only a few years later. Detransitioners who tell their stories of painful financial exploitation (abuse) by the “experts” at a young and vulnerable age, are steadily increasing in numbers.

The mass deportations referenced, starting with the most violent of illegals . . . murderers, rapists, child molesters, are only necessary because of the previous administration’s open border policy of not only allowing unvetted illegal aliens (illegal, not “undocumented”) to pour into the U.S. in an unprecedented invasion, but actually encouraging and aiding and abetting them, each committing a felony by so doing. Polls show the majority of Americans are in favor of Trump’s immigration policy, as well as, the elimination of the blatant racial discriminatory policies of DEI (didn’t earn it) returning back instead to the merit-based, not race-based, society MLK Jr. supported.

Trump won every swing state, along with the popular vote, by transparently promising to implement these polices. By keeping his promises, far from abusing this nation, he is saving it.
