ND SB 2208 must be quashed

Rick Schlecht, Kulm

George Soros makes a point against BlackRock Inc., pouring monies into China interests, per an article by Bloomberg: George Soros says BlackRock’s China investments “tragic mistake”: 7 Sept 2021, by Russell Ward. Soros explains, in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, “Pouring billions of dollars into China now is a tragic mistake.”

“It is likely to lose money for BlackRock’s clients and, more important, will damage the national security interests of the U.S. and other democracies.”

This writer believes BlackRock now is interfering in American interests at the expense of farmers and ranchers in North Dakota, specifically, Stutsman, Lamoure and Dickey Counties. There is a power struggle in these counties against BlackRock for farmers and ranchers to retain ownership of their land and property. A claim by BlackRock and investors is that it will improve upon technology and productivity in the area, but these are hollow “Hurrah” words, devoid of truth and substance.

If passed, SB 2208 will “rape” the land from Jamestown to Ellendale with wind towers and below ground CO2 pipelines.

“The CO2 pipelines are lethal when burst!” BlackRock and their investors wish to remain untouchable when failure and disaster from their products strikes. There is no accountability shown by these investors, who will implement eminent domain and “force” families off their land if demands for “easements” are not met. If this dystopian “land grab” by BlackRock is successful, North Dakota farmland will bear bitter fruit and livestock will die!

These are powerful companies with billions of dollars at their disposal. They will stop at nothing to usurp family farms and crush our heritage and dreams as good stewards of the land! As our ancestors from Bessarabia suffered a similar fate at the hands of Russia, over a century ago, so shall we, if SB 2208 passes!
