Greener Tomorrow evokes pride in youth

Lucille Loftesnes, Granville

I have read with extreme interest the article by Ben Pifher in the Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, Minot Daily.

It makes me very proud to acknowledge that there is a young person at Minot High School who has organized the group, Greener Tomorrow. Cooper Fjeld is to be commended for his efforts as explained in the Minot Daily, front page article, “Student group seeks Greener Tomorrow.”

His commitment to a project such as Litter Picking causes me to be very proud of him. Our world needs a whole lot more of such folks and yet, having more who think TWICE before depositing anything which LITTERS our streets and by-ways, would be the END of what makes for his commitment to his country of TRASH. I hope the citizenry will observe what an impact his group is making and give them the honor deserved: Realize that we all have access to receptacles where cans, bottles, boxes, wrappers, and much more can be deposited. STOP LITTERING! We can be a big help in that way without having to get out on the streets at sunrise, in cold, wet conditions as his group is doing! Many congratulations to Cooper and his helpers.

Starting at $2.99/week.
