Have a blessed, happy Thanksgiving
It’s that time of the year when families and friends gather around the table to give thanks.
We can give our thanks on Thanksgiving Day for what we are grateful — our friends and family, and being together, the food on our table, our health, our home, our work and whatever else has a significant meaning.
For those who cannot be home with their families or friends, please remember them. Say a prayer for them and for them to be able to be with their families or friends soon again.
If you know someone who is alone, it would be a good idea to call them to visit or invite them to join you.
It has been a tough year with the nation just having gone through a stressful presidential election, high prices at the grocery store and other economic difficulties, along with global difficulties.
But as much as we hear about what is wrong in the country or world, there are so many good things.
Still, on Thursday, we will celebrate being together and our gratitude for what we have in this community, state and country.
We can also say thanks for our freedom to observe Thanksgiving. It’s a day to enjoy.
There is so much we can give our gratitude for on Thanksgiving and throughout the year.
