Sept. 4, 1956-March 31, 2025
Minot
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberta “Bobbie” Erickson, who left us on March 31, 2025.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, and her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
Roberta Julia Steen was born Sept. 4, 1956, in Minot, the daughter of Harvey and Linda (Clark) Steen. She was raised and educated in Glenburn, graduating from Glenburn High School in 1974.
Bobbie married Terry Erickson on June 21, 1975, in Glenburn. They made their home in Minot for a year before moving to Granville. They were blessed with four daughters.
For over 20 years, Bobbie dedicated herself to providing daycare in Granville, offering a safe and loving environment for countless children. Her nurturing spirit and warm heart made her a second mother to many.
Offering not only a safe space for children to grow and thrive but also a place where they were loved and cared for like her own. She built lasting relationships with the families she served, becoming a constant and trusted presence in their lives, providing not only care but also a space where laughter and warmth flourished.
After moving to Minot in 2003, she continued providing daycare to the community and for her grandchildren, continuing to create a home full of love until her youngest grandchildren entered kindergarten in 2021.
Bobbie found peace and joy in her sanctuary at Strawberry Lake, where she spent many quiet hours unwinding and creating lasting memories with her family.
The serene waters were her sanctuary, a place where she could find quiet reflection and connect with the beauty of the world around her.
She spent countless hours at the lake, often with her grandchildren by her side, sharing in the moments that became treasured memories.
In addition to her love for family, Bobbie was an avid crafter with a passion for creating beautiful things.
She spent countless hours crafting and found great joy in displaying her collection of villages.
Bobbie was more than just a caregiver, she was a friend to all, a shoulder to lean on, and a source of unwavering support.
Her kindness, patience, and endless love will remain a guiding light for those she leaves behind. She was truly a mom to all, and her impact will forever be felt.
While she is no longer with us, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the beauty she crafted will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Bobbie. You will be deeply missed and always remembered.
