Norman Richard Erickson, 81, Rugby died peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was born on Sept. 26, 1943 in Minot, North Dakota to Edward and Lucille (Gustafson) Erickson. He was united in marriage to Sharon Amon and they made their home in Minot, where he worked for the Minot Daily News for 45 years. Norman is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sharon of Rugby; sons, Mike of Minot, Stephen (Kim) of Minot and Sandon of Rugby; grandchildren, Jordan and Lindsay Erickson, Kali (Cody) Mattson and Cierra Erickson; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Maynard Erickson of Minot. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7th at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby and will continue on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
