Marlys A. (Hagerud) Anderson, 93, Minot, formerly of Kenmare, ND, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in a Minot hospital.

Marlys Hagerud was born on Nov. 16, 1931, daughter of Bennie and Martha (Egger) Hagerud in Coulee, ND. She was raised and educated in Kenmare.

On July 19, 1952, Marlys was united in marriage to Russell Anderson in Minot. They made their home in Kenmare, where Marlys was a homemaker, raising their children. The couple remained in Kenmare, where they were active at the Nazareth Lutheran Church. Russell died July 28, 2013. She then moved to Minot, residing at the Morgan Apartments, where she made many friends.

Marlys enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing gold, camping with her grandchildren, dancing and playing cards.

Marlys is survived by:

Children: Terri (Ronnie) Hoskin; son, Benny (Dee) Anderson; grandchildren, Ronda (Joel) Kelly, Bryan (Valarie) Hoskin, and Marty (Nicole) Hoskin; great-grandchildren, Noah Kelly, Savannah Kelly (Matty) and Elijah (Shiloh) Kelly, Breanna (Zac), Brenden Hoskin, Cambree, Cade and Brilee Hoskin and Matthew Block;

Siblings: Janice “Kitty” Dill, Carolyn (Dale) Anderson; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Marlys was preceded in death by her siblings Colleen (Skip) Erickson, Darol Hagerud, Beverly (Sonny) Ankenbauer, Sharon Hedahl;

Visitation: One hour prior to the service

Memorial Service: Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, ND.

Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
