Marlene Huber, 91, of Minot, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at ProHealth Assisted Living, Minot.
Marlene was born June 1, 1933, to Jake and Lucille (Nelson) Bell in Minot. She was raised and educated in Minot attending Sunnyside Elementary School and graduating from Minot High School in 1951. She was a lifelong Minot resident.
She married Lloyd Huber on March 7, 1953 in Sawyer, ND. They were blessed with two daughters, Jane and Debra. Lloyd died on Oct. 2, 1987. She continued to live in Minot after his death.
Marlene was the Credit Manager at Buttreys for 10 years. In 1974 she began employment with the Northern States Power Company, which was later SRT.
She retired in 1994 after 20 years of employment in the credit department. She was a volunteer for over 20 years at the Trinity Hospital Gift Shop. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Criterion Club, and Wise Woman’s Investment Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd; sister Betty LaFrance; brother-in-law Edward LaFrance.
Her Loving Family Includes: Daughters, Jane (George) Petersen and Debra Huber; granddaughter Kellie (Mitch) Meyer, great grandsons Declan and Eliott Meyer; several nieces and nephews.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Caring Edge Hospice and ProHealth Assisted Living for their compassionate care.
Memorial Service: Friday, May 2, 2025, 2 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: One hour prior to service.
