Cheryl Kremer

Cheryl Ann Buettner was born on Oct. 19, 1959, to Gerald and Patricia Buettner in Minot, North Dakota. She attended school at Edison, South Prairie, and graduated from Minot High School in 1977. That same year she married Kim Letvin and from that union they were blessed with three children, Sara, Jessica, and Joey.

On Aug. 28, 1987, she married Rodney Kremer, spending the last 37 years happily together. Richard came later that year. In addition to Cheryl’s three children, Rodney was blessed with Dawn, Carla and Aaron from his previous marriage making them a family of nine.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, planting flowers, watching crime shows, playing board and card games, and doing diamond dots. In her younger years she was an avid bowler, dart thrower, and pool player. Her favorite pastime was their yearly trip to Arizona to visit her mother along with camping at Lake Audubon with family, enjoying her much loved peace and tranquility.

She retired from Minot State University in 2023 after 24 years as an Administrative Assistant.

Her loving family includes her husband of 37 years, Rodney; mother, Patricia Buettner; children, Sara (Kelly) Ostrander, Joseph Letvin, Richard (Kayla) Kremer, Dawn (Ryan) Griffis, Carla (Chris) Spooner, and Aaron (Anna) Kremer; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Letvin; father, Gerald Buettner; brother Byron Buettner.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 15, 2024, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Humane Society.
