Barbara (Forsberg) Jacobson Huber, Minot, died Friday, March 21, 2025, at a Minot Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara Jane Forsberg was born Aug. 10, 1951, the daughter of Larry and Adeline (Robertson) Forsberg, in Crosby, North Dakota.

At the age of two, Barbara and her family moved to Minot, North Dakota where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Minot High School.

On June 5, 1971, Barbara married Arlo “Bucky” Jacobson, with whom she had three children: Roni, Dawn, and Justin. They made their home in Parshall. The couple later divorced.

On Jan. 28, 2002, she married Ron Huber, and together they made their home in Minot, and spent several winters in Arizona.

They were joined in their travels by their beloved dog, Mimi, and enjoyed trips to casinos and various destinations. Ron passed away on Dec. 13, 2020.

Barbara was known for her vibrant spirit and a love for shoes that was as iconic as her whistle, which could be heard from a distance. When she laughed, her entire being beamed with sunshine, radiating happiness and warmth.

She spent hours crafting–whether it was ceramics, artex, or furniture restoration.

Her independent nature led her to travel in her camper, where she could embrace the calmness of her surroundings. The water always called to her, whether she was camping by a shoreline or boating.

Above all, Barbara’s greatest joy came from being a wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She also loved nothing more than watching a good movie with a bowl of popcorn and Milk Duds, a simple pleasure that brought her comfort and joy.

A woman of strength, Barbara was loyal and had a heart full of love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Adeline Forsberg of Minot; daughters, Roni (Gary) Wilson of Hagerhill, Kentucky, Dawn (Jay) Kruger of Minot; and son, Justin (Janelle) Jacobson of Plentywood, Mont.

Barbara was also a proud grandmother to Tate Wilson of Suffolk, Va, Mia Wilson and Ty Wilson of Hagerhill, Ky. Creighton Johannes of Surprise, Ariz., MicKaine Kruger and Patton Kruger of Minot, and Brystol Floberg and Bryson Floberg of Plentywood, Mont.

Barbara is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Forsberg of Minot, Garry Forsberg of Bismarck, and Kenneth Forsberg (late wife, Sandy, who passed the same day) of Devils Lake; sister, Brenda (Craig) Benson of Minot; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and Ron’s children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Forsberg, and her beloved husband, Ron Huber.

Barbara’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
