Myron D. Anderson, 85, Minot, died Monday, March 3, 2025.
Myron was born July 8,1939, along with his twin brother Mylo, to Adolph and Annette (Olsen) Anderson in Minot, ND. He grew up in Douglas, ND and began his career in the road construction industry at age 14.
In 1962 he married Norma Jean Nelson and lived in a number of towns throughout North Dakota. They were blessed with two sons, Randy and David.
Myron continued working road construction, operating and hauling heavy equipment until his retirement.
Myron later married Janet Scott on August 18, 2000. They spent the next 17 years sharing their lives together until her passing on June 28, 2017. He became a resident of Somerset Assisted Living in December of 2018.
Myron enjoyed puzzles and time spent with family. He was a quiet man but knew the value of a good day’s work. He will be missed by those who were blessed to share in his life but mostly by those who called him dad and grandpa.
Myron is survived by his sons Randy (Andrea) Anderson and David (Danae) Anderson, both of rural Minot; grandchildren Shane (Ashley) Anderson and Kevin (Laura) Anderson; great-grandchildren Colt and Barrett Anderson and Alice and Max Anderson; twin brother Mylo (Dorothy), Mandan along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members of the Scott family.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol Jean Hansen.
Celebration of Myron’s Life: 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
