Lloyd C. Kvam, 81, passed away on March 24th, 2025 in Grand Forks, ND.
He was born August 18, 1943 in Minot to Clarence and Clara Kvam. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church.
He attended school in Minot and graduated from Minot High in 1961. He was a member of the National Honor Society and worked on the Searchlight and the school newspaper. He was active in golf and in band and was Business Manager for the Concert Band.
He earned a degree in Business of Public Administration from the University of North Dakota, and made his career in retail and insurance sales. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1963 and served eight years.
He married Dianne Vilmo in August 1969 and moved to Minnesota to be near family. They later moved to Phoenix.
Lloyd was very proud of his family and his Norwegian heritage. He enjoyed whist, pinochle, cribbage, baseball, basketball, football, fishing and golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; two sons, Eric and Michael; his parents, Clarence and Clara Kvam; two brothers, Erwin and Kenneth; and one sister, Marlene.
He is survived by his sisters Elaine, Naomi, and Kathi as well as his children Michelle and Jason, and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 29th at 3 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3705 11th St. SW, Minot, ND 58701. The service can be livestreamed online via https://www.oslcminot.com/watch.
