Thomas Faa, 82, Karlsruhe, ND, died Tuesday, at Trinity Hospital.Tom was born January 1, 1943, the son of Jerome and Eleanor Faa, in Portland, Oregon. His family moved to the Alaskan frontier, on the banks of the Kenai River, when he was young. He served in the United States Army in 1964. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Tom married Patricia in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1985. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, and having as much fun as possible. When he wasn’t outdoors, he was quite the poet, writing over 400 poems.His loving family includes: wife of 40 years, Pat; sister, Jocele Faa, Indiana; friends, Steve (Margo) Knorr, Coleharbor, and Dale Nevins, Minot. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Burton Carver; brother, Eugene Faa; sister, Judy Lexa. A private family service will take place at a later date.
