Laura Lee Wright, 61, West Pueblo, Co died quietly on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Colorado Springs, Co after a long battle. She was born on September 14,1963 in Columbus, Ohio to Ronald and June Mays.

Laura attended Douglas County High School, Co. On June 22, 2002 Laura married Maurice (Maury) Wright at the Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish, SD. Maury and Laura enjoyed camping, fishing and playing cards. Laura loved and enjoyed her puppies. She enjoyed the early morning coffee ritual with her puppies and recorded soap operas.

She loved her family, friends and all her many dogs, both past and present. Before being unable to work, Laura worked at veterinary clinics, dog kennels and various retail establishments.

She is survived by her husband Maurice of Pueblo West, Co, her Parents Wayne and June Turner of Franktown, CO, her siblings Ron(Lesley) Mays of Colorado Springs, CO; Chris (Suzy) Mays of Central City, Co; Teresa Mays (Karen) of Fruita, Co; Robert (Lynn) Turner of Mooresville, NC; Jason (Laura) Turner of Bremerton, WA; Jennifer (Brian) Bracha of San Antonio, Tx; and Joe (Samantha) Turner of Jacksonville, NC; Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold & Linda Price, Sebring, FL; Debbie Wallace, Argos, IN. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and Puppies Elsea and Shandi.

Laura is preceded in death by her father Ronald Mays, sister Lisa, brother Buddy, and her favorite four-legged dog Char-Char.

Laura will be remembered for her optimistic look on life. Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
