Francis Pfeifer, 90, Minot, ND, died Saturday, January 4, 2025 in a Minot hospital.

Francis was born on May 12, 1934, a son of Odmar and Mary (Adam) Pfeifer in Silva, ND. He was raised and educated in the Drake and Funston area, where he graduated from the Funston School.

On Oct 18, 1955 Francis married Rosella Burgard. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their eight children, Bob, Kathy, Jerry, Mary, Randy, Cheryl, Sharon and Don.

He worked for Bechtold Excavating and in 1980 Francis started his own company Pfeifer Construction. He was also a co-owner of Western Excavating and Excavating Inc. He proudly worked on countless projects in and around Ward County, McHenry County and other areas

around the state, including extending the boat ramps at Lake Sakakawea many years ago.

Francis is survived by: Wife of 69 years, Rosella; Children: Bob (Cindy) Pfeifer, Kathy (Les) Gregg, Jerry (Barb) Pfeifer, Mary (Doug) Solberg, Randy Pfeifer, Cheryl (Steve) Lesmeister, Sharon Pfeifer, Don (Terryl) Pfeifer. 13 grandchildren: 13 great-grandchildren, Siblings: Angeline Rudnick, Odmar Pfeifer Jr, Audrey (Jerome) Weigel, Dorothy (Milton) Bachmeier; Brother-in-law: Richard (Linda) Burgard, Wilfred Keller; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation: Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4:30 until 6:30 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 6:30 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed and may be viewed on Francis page at www.thompsonlarson.com.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
