Carolyn “Lyn” Nelson

Albuquerque, N. M.

Lyn was born October 23, 1953, in Sturgis South Dakota. She met Gerald, the love of her life and married in October 1970. They had two daughters, Annette and Nichole, who cherish and love her deeply.

Lyn enjoyed being a military wife and in 1986, the family moved to a small farmstead outside Surrey, ND. Her hobbies included watching the Dallas Cowboys, reading, quilting and canning until moving to Albuquerque, NM in 2020.

Lyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Nelson (d. 2022), her father Lavern Lewis, and stepfather Curt Moorhead. She is survived by her mother Shirley Lewis Moorhead, sisters Joyce, Kathy, Kelly and brother-in-law, Duane. Her daughter Annette Nelson Wright, son in law Alan, grandchildren Arianna (Stacey Young) and Alan Jr. Daughter Nichole Nelson Baros, son in law Jayson, and grandchildren, Alex, Lindsey, and Braden. Many cousins nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She will be greatly missed.

Services for Lyn are set for Thursday, January 16th. They are being handled by French Funerals, Wyoming, in Albuquerque, NM.
