Sharon Inman, 82, Berthold, ND, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Minot Health and Rehab.
Sharon Kaye Bredahl was born September 13, 1942, the daughter of Ellard and Geneva (Ringeon) Bredahl, in Minot, ND. She attended Kickapoo Country School for two years and then attended Berthold Public School through her sophomore year when she moved to Salem, Oregon. Sharon graduated from South Salem High School in 1960. Following high school, she attended Phagens Academy of Hair Design, graduating with a degree as manager/operator. She then worked in salons in and around the Salem area.
Sharon married Bob Inman in 1963. They made their home in Salem and Newport, Oregon. They were blessed with two daughters, Alechia and Mechell. In 1973, they moved to Kenmare, ND. They later divorced in 1977.
Sharon was very involved in the community such as, Chairman for the American Cancer and Heart Association of NW ND, president and board member of Lakeview Historical Pioneer Village in Kenmare, president, vice president, and board member of Kenmare Chamber of Commerce and president of Berthold Park Board.
She also liked to be involved in the activities of her daughters. She was president of the Kenmare School Music Boosters, Girl Scout Leader for six years, and she organized and started the Country Wranglers 4-H Club which she led for eight years. In her later years, she loved to attend all of her grandchildren’s activities. She never missed their events.
Sharon was an incredibly talented artist, and she shared this gift with the community. Art was her “go to” to relax. She was also on the Art Train Committee and was Vice President and a board member of Lakeview Art club for over 35 years. She taught a beginner paint class at the Art Club.
Being involved in the church was important to Sharon. She was a Sunday School teacher for Elmdale Lutheran Church and Nazareth Lutheran Church. She was also a deacon at Nazareth Lutheran Church for 10 years.
Sharon worked at many salons during her career, including, Vee’s Salon, Bowbells, Murry’s Salon, Kenmare, Sandy Nelson’s Beauty Nook, and The Beauty Nook. In 1992, she owned and operated Cutters Corners/Mind-Body-Spirit Spa for 15 years and Shear Creations until retiring after 52 years of hairstyling.
She also worked part time at Lakeshore Bar & Restaurant, Elks Gaming, Hockey Boosters Gaming, Wayne’s Bar & Grill, Danny’s Bar & Grill, SOB Bar & Restaurant, and Beer Bob’s Bar. She also had a catering business with two of her friends, Mary and Arlene, called MAS’ Catering. It was quite the challenge, but a lot of fun. Family was incredibly important to Sharon.
Her loving family includes: children, Alechia (Tracy) Neubauer, Berthold, ND, and Mechell Holien, Grano, ND; grandchildren, Amanda Peterson, Shelbe Neubauer, Ryder Holien and Sawyer Neubauer; great-grandsons, Mason Peterson and Jackson Neubauer; and nieces and nephews, Les (Robyn) Taylor and their children, Dustin and Sabrina; Janelle Cornett and her daughter, Annie; Mona (Tim) Gonzalez and their children, Chelsea and Brenna; Debby (Chad)
Zolnoski and their son, Roudy; Spencer (Stacie) Brown and their children, Jerica, Ella and Kirby; Amy (Dean) Pedersen and their children, MacKenzie, Peyton and Carver; Scott (Karla) Bredahl and their children Colton, Kaiden, Kenadi, Cooper and Kashtyn; and David Brown; cousin, Myron (Gayla) Bredahl, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Reiny Inman; infant brother, Bobby; brother, Gene Bredahl; sister, Laurella (Jack) Brown; brother-in-law, Richard Taylor; her aunt and uncle who helped raise her, Tim and Hazel Bredahl, and infant nephew, Teddy Bredahl; and niece, Roxy Ellingford.
Memorial Service: Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold.
Interment: Shell Creek Lutheran Cemetery, rural Blaisdell, ND.
