Andrew Thomas “Tom” Haverlock, 72, Minot, died Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at a Minot Hospital.

Tom was born January 30, 1952 in Dickinson, ND, the son of Andrew and Josephine (Gayda) Haverlock. He moved with his family to Minot, where he was raised, attended and graduated from Minot High School in 1970.

Tom was united in marriage to Becky Klein on September 21, 1974 at St Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where along with raising their two children, he was employed as an automotive mechanic for Don’s Phillips 66, Westlie Motor, Motor Service and most recently for himself at his residence.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his children attending their hockey and gymnastics activities. He was instrumental in the opening of Rebel Athletics of Minot where his daughter, Cassie, coaches and his granddaughter, Keira, coaches and participates. He spent time building and installing equipment as well as purchasing and donating equipment to better the program. He loved working with his hands, doing woodworking and building furniture for family members. He had a passion for restoring vehicles and motorcycles. His most recent projects were restoring two motorcycles, his mother’s Mustang and working on his son’s Chevelle. During his free time, you could also find him relaxing at the lake, doing puzzles and diamond dot kits.

Tom was diagnosed with leukemia in October of 2023.

Tom’s loving family includes: his wife of 50 years; Becky; son, Chad (Brandi) Haverlock, San Antonio, TX; daughter, Cassie (Laramie) Davis, Minot; grandchildren, Keira, Jesse, Ryder, Jaxson and Dominic; sisters, Laureen Evans, Connie Brammer, Nancy Jergensen, Tammy Keever; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his mother and father in law, John and Fern Klein and a brother in law, John Klein, Jr.

Private Graveside service: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Public Visitation: Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to Rebel Athletics gymnastics program, Minot High Gymnastics or an organization of the donor’s choice.
