Rolf Aufforth, 75, Bowbells, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Casselton, ND.

Rolf Aufforth was born on December 7, 1948, a son of Roelf “R.E.” and Leone (Carlson) Aufforth in Kenmare, ND. He was raised on the Aufforth family farm, where he assisted his father raising Hereford Cattle and farming. He attended Bowbells School, where he graduated in 1966. He attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for two years, he graduated in 1968 with a degree in Auto Mechanics.

On September 6, 1970, Rolf was united in marriage to Vickie L. Clark in Bowbells. They made their home in Bowbells Township, where together they raised their family and farmed.

Rolf was a member of various organizations and boards throughout the years.

Rolf had a passion for baseball. The high school baseball program was going to be no longer but due to his passion, he stepped into the coaching role so the boys could experience the love he had for the game.

He lived for and loved his family with all his heart. He enjoyed farming especially durum that he raised faithfully for 54 years, hunting, wine, auction sales, looking for Indian artifacts, telling jokes, visiting with anyone and he was a prankster.

Rolf and Vickie loved to travel, having visited numerous places including Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Canda, Africa, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

His loving family includes: Wife of 54 years, Vickie: Son, Roelf F. (Patches) Aufforth and his children Roelf F. (Kylie) Aufforth, Jr. and their son Owen, Rylee (Shawn) Kurban, Remington Aufforth; Daughter, Robin (Norm) Rosendahl, and her daughter Kristi (Jadon) Buntjer and their daughter Hallie; Daughter, Rachel (Eldon) Johnson, Morgan Johnson; Son, Ryan (Lisa) Aufforth and their children, Taya Aufforth, Kenna Aufforth, Kiley Aufforth, Trey Aufforth, Luke Aufforth; Siblings, Douglas (Glenys) Holter, Susan Watson, and Tammy Ryberg; in-laws, Beth Aufforth, John (Laurie) Clark, JoAnn Schepp, Jay (Kerry) Clark, and Bruce (Heidi) Clark; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Rolf was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi Jo; his parents; in-laws, Robert and June Clark; brothers, Donovan “Sam” Holter and Herman Aufforth; sister-in-law, Joann Luke Holter; brothers-in-law, Jerome Clark and Ronald Schepp.

Visitation: Monday, December 2, 2024, one hour prior to the service at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bowbells, ND.

Funeral Service: Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bowbells, ND.

Burial: A private family committal service will take place at a later date.
