Duane Andersen, age 64 of Maxbass, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, on arrival to a Bottineau hospital. Services are pending at this time.

Duane Allen Andersen, a son of Emil and Norma (Farden) Andersen, was born on June 29, 1960 in Minot. He was raised on the family farm near Maxbass and graduated from Maxbass High School in 1978. Duane then attended NDSCS in Wahpeton. He returned to Maxbass and began working on the family farm. He spent his winters in Palm Springs, CA, and would return to Maxbass in the spring for the farming season. He met Sharon Clipper in Palm Springs and on October 18, 1995 they were united in marriage. They returned to ND in 2001 to reside full time.

Duane worked as a carpenter and a home improvement craftsman. He had a love for this trade and was very particular about the work he completed. Duane left his touch on numerous homes and in the process left his touch on numerous lives.

Duane was a very kind, caring and generous man who had a love for God and his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and time spent at the beach when they visited family in California. He enjoyed watching the Vikings and his sense of humor brought laughs to many.

Duane is survived by his wife Sharon of Maxbass; daughters, Alexandra Andersen of Maxbass and Ashley Mendez and her husband, Eddie of Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren, Elijah, Aries, Joshua and Aaliyah; brother, Daryl (Muriel) Andersen; sisters, Cheryl (Alan) Scherr and Barbara (Ryan) Henry and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
