Wayne Ordell McLain, 90, of Minot, formerly of Mohall, passed away on October 17, 2024, at an assisted living center in Minot. Born on September 19, 1934, in Mohall, Wayne was raised and educated at the Clay Center School and at Mohall High School. He assisted with the operation of the family farm following his education. Wayne moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 19 and was employed for the Winter season before returning back to ND. In 1955 he joined the City of Minot’s Sanitation Department. He worked for the city for nearly 40 years, retiring as Superintendent of the Street Department and Sanitation Department in 1994. Wayne was married to Delia Krause on June 19, 1955, and they were blessed with five children. Delia passed away in 2009. Wayne was a long-time member of Bethany Lutheran Church, a loyal Moose Lodge member, and an Eagles member. He enjoyed walking, dancing, yard work, bingo and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Vickie (Gaylen) Erck, Lori (Mike Mathis) Hanson, Jodi (Dave) Krueger, and Cory (Michele) McLain, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Marlys McLain. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Delia, son Tracy, and siblings.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
