MaryAnn Koski, 78, Minot, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Trinity Health.

MaryAnn was born August 31, 1946. She was adopted at the age of three into John and Mary Walz’s family. She was raised and educated in Max until moving to Minot in the 6th grade. MaryAnn and her brother Ronnie had lots of fun growing up together, sharing toys, so much so that one Christmas MaryAnn got a tractor and Ronnie got a doll. She graduated from Minot High School in 1965.

She was once married to Ronald Bates, and together they were blessed with a daughter, Suzanne. While raising Suzanne, MaryAnn was employed at the Americana Nursing Home.

MaryAnn met Keith Stromberg, and they were married in June of 1974, they were blessed with a daughter, Heather. Keith passed away in 1981.

MaryAnn raised her two girls on her own until she met and married Dennis Koski in April of 1992. Dennis passed away in 2006.

In 2011, she rebuilt her home after the flood. In 2014, MaryAnn moved into the Henry Towers where she enjoyed playing Bingo and cards nightly. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, spending time with her family and friends, especially her friends Mary Ann and Charlene. Mary Ann, her friend of 68 years passed in July 2024. When her brother Ronnie and his wife, Donna, visited she would light up and couldn’t wait to see them again.

Her loving family includes: daughters, Suzanne (Wes) Ford and Heather (Erik) Klug; grandchildren, Autumn Bates, Krystle (Micheal Preston) Schoffstall, Michael Schoffstall, Keith, Hallie, and Ella Klug; great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Tristan Bates; brother, Ron (Donna) Walz; and two nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Keith Stromberg and Dennis Koski.

Funeral: Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
