Linda M. Brown, 74, of Anamoose, ND, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison Hospital in Garrison, ND. A Vigil Service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Drake, ND with Fr. Kevin Boucher officiating. Burial will be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Anamoose, ND, followed by a Reception at the Anamoose Senior Citizens Center.

Linda was born November 18, 1949 in Harvey, ND to Clement and Estella (Mayer) Rudnick. Her earlier years were spent growing up on a farm near Anamoose and graduated from Anamoose High School in 1967. She then attended the University of North Dakota, and graduated with a degree in Business Education. She taught school for a short time in Grafton, ND, where she met her husband, Denny Brown. The couple was united in marriage on May 19, 1973. The couple then moved to Texas and New Mexico, where they had on son, Denny, Jr.

In the years in New Mexico, Linda held numerous jobs and really enjoyed all the skiing she got to do; it turned out to be her favorite hobby. Denny Sr. passed away in 1981 and Linda subsequently returned to North Dakota to be closer to family. After her return to North Dakota, she became an account executive for KX Television Network in Minot, ND. She remained working at KX until she returned to Anamoose to take care of her mother. There she enjoyed making sour cream cookies for everyone and the grandkids loved to help decorate them.

She returned to Minot in 2021 and resided at the Edgewood Memory Care Unit. In July of 2024, she was transferred to the Garrison Hospital Nursing Facility where she passed away on October 14, 2024.

Linda is survived by one son, Denny; two grandkids, Taylor Heringer and Dylan (Paige) Brown; one great-granddaughter, Lainey Brown; brother, Ken Rudnick; sister, Kathy (Keith) Sethen; nieces and nephews, Nick, Megan, Dusty, Jason and Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister-in-law.

Services are with the Nelson Funeral Home of Drake, ND.
