Jerry A. Coddington, 82, Antler, ND, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his residence in Antler.

Jerry Allan Coddington was born July 21, 1942, the son of Carl and Wanda (Arnold) Coddington, in Broadlands, IL. He was raised and educated in Broadlands, graduating from ABL Community High School in 1962.

Jerry enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 4, 1964. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed all the many countries around the world that he was able to visit while on TDY. He was honorably discharged March 31, 1984. Following his retirement, Jerry worked as a farm hand, most recently in Antler.

While stationed in Grand Forks, Jerry met Melanie Billadeau. They married on September 2, 1967, in Grand Forks. They made their home in Grand Forks, and later moved to Minot Air Force Base, where Jerry was a KC 135 Boom Operator. They were blessed with a daughter, Mandie in 1976. Melanie passed away February 2, 2022.

He enjoyed working with the cattle on the ranch. He also liked to tinker on vehicles. He loved his horse.

His loving family includes: daughter, Mandie (Larry) Hubbard; grandchildren, Jordan (Andrew) Keller, Erin Hubbard, Ryan Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Kross Keller, baby girl Keller due in 3 weeks; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melanie; siblings, John Coddington, James (Sharon) Coddington Sr., Charles “Bill” Coddington, Joyce (Clyde) Roles.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Interment: Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
