On October 15, 2024, Donald Jay Hansen of Mandan, formerly of Kenmare and Bowbells, took his last breath with his daughter at his side. He was 80 years old.

A service will take place on Saturday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bowbells. It was Don’s wish to rest at Danish Lutheran Cemetery, rural Bowbells. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
