Delraine ‘Del’ Mabel Grosche, 98, Minot, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at Souris Valley Care Center in Velva.
Del was born January 1, 1926, on the family farm in Newburg, ND, the daughter of Chester and Aurelia (Ehlke) Blada. She was raised and educated in Newburg and graduated from Newburg High School in 1943, then attended Minot State College where she studied accounting. She was employed at various entities including, First National Bank, Dakota Drug, Union Reserve Insurance and Harrington Brothers as a bookkeeper.
On February 22, 1945, Del was united in marriage to Harry ‘Red’ Grosche. They made their home in Minot where they raised three children. Together, Del and Red enjoyed spending winters in Arizona. After the passing of her husband in 2008, Del became a resident of Somerset Court Assisted Living Center in Minot.
Del was a charter member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and current member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot. She was active in St. Mark’s Bible Study and Naomi Circle.
Her loving family includes children, Bonnie Coffey, Minot, Bill (Bette) Grosche, Minot; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Weldon Blada, Bottineau, ND, and Maurice (Sheila) Blada, Racine, WI; sister-in-law, Ruth Earsley, Lubbock, TX, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Harry; son, Larry; sister-in-law, Luella Blada; nephew, Mike Blada and son-in-law, Rex Coffey.
Funeral service: Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service in the Church on Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
