Timothy Lawrence Petz, 68, was born on May 18th, 1956, to Lawrence and LaVerne Petz of Ryder, North Dakota and passed away suddenly at work on August 4th, 2024.

His life was full and busy being shared with his wife, Julie (Goerndt), one son, Levi Buechler and one daughter, Amber Emerson; along with his very loved grandchildren, Aiden and Aunah Buechler, Charlotte “Cha Cha” and Etta Emerson. He had a beautiful relationship with his mother-in-law (his second mom), Joanne Goerndt. He grew up and also shared his life with his sisters; Stephanie Hagen, Maureen Hagen, Susie Feist, Paulette Lozensky, Monica Eriksmoen, and Teresa Petz and brothers; John Petz, Tom Petz, and Peter Petz; along with numerous nieces and nephews that he cherished.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; Lawrence and LaVerne Petz, his sister; Maureen Hagen and his second mom; Joanne Goerndt.

Tim’s final earthly celebration will be held on August 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Ryder School Gymnasium, Ryder, North Dakota. Public viewing will be held an hour prior to the service.

Burial will take place at the Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Sawyer, ND. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

The family extends its true appreciation for all efforts of comfort provided us at this time of sadness.
