Dennis Peters, the son of Anton and Gertrude (Sattler) Peters was born on October 12, 1938 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died at the age of 85 years on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. On October 28, 1967, he was united in marriage to Delaine Wittmeier. He spent two years in the U.S. Army and two years in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Delaine of Rugby; children, Joe (Sandy) Peters of Minot and Denise (Keith) Hansen of White Sulphur Springs, Montana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rugby followed by full military honors and burial in the Willow City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.
