Paul Royce Kauffman, 83, Wolford, was born August 19, 1939, the fourth of seven children born to Floyd and Ida Kauffman of Surrey, North Dakota. He was born at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota and he died there in the same building eighty-three years later on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Paul was raised on a farm in rural Surrey. He was joined in marriage to Gwendlyn Faith Kauffman in Creston, Mont., on September 4, 1965.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Deanna Benavides of Broadway, Va., Laura (Kim) Yoder of Wolford and Sara (Joseph) Mwagura of West Fargo; sons, Leon (Jenny) of Condon, Mont., Joel (Andrea) of West Liberty, Ohio, Myron (Marsha) of Greencastle, Pa., and Carl (Kristin) of Harrisonburg, Va.; one son that followed him in death in Winston, Ga., Arne; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Kauffman of Winston, Ga.; 27 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 20th at Lakeview Mennonite Church in rural Wolford with spring burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.
