Marilyn Roll, 71, Minot, ND, formerly of Fessenden, ND, passed away Saturday, February 25,

2023, at a Minot hospital.

Marilyn Ekrem was born June 8, 1951, the daughter of Loui and Gladys (Pepple) Ekrem, in

Harvey, ND. She graduated from Minot High School in 1969.

On April 8, 1971 she was blessed with her favorite child Val.

Marilyn married Ken Roll on October 9, 1993 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. They made their

home in Minot.

She worked for St. Joe’s Hosptial and Trinity Health for 42 years in various capacities before

retiring in 2021.

She loved her grandchildren and never turned down in opportunity to spend time with them.

Her loving family includes:

Her husband of 29 years, Ken Roll; daughter, Val (Joe) Cunningham, Minot; grandchildren,

Emily (Darin) Malafa, Noah Cunningham, Max Cunningham; sisters, Sharon (Jerome) Wallery,

Lois Ekrem; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Rhone, brother-in-law, Lanny Rhone and

father-in-law, Alex Roll.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church,

Minot.

Interment: Lansford Catholic Cemetery, Lansford, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
