The family of Linda Ziegler of Minot is saddened to announce her passing on January 5, 2023, at the age of 72. After a long battle with COPD, mom is now breathing easy.

Linda was born August 2, 1950, in New Rockford, ND to Betty and Eldon Clelland. After spending her childhood in New Rockford, Linda met her best friend and love of her life, Jack Ziegler. Linda and Jack were united in marriage on August 7, 1971. Together, they had two beautiful children Tina and Jason. They celebrated 51 years of marriage together and were so grateful when they had a beautiful celebration on their 50th wedding anniversary. In their younger years Linda and Jack enjoyed many activities together, including bowling, softball, and darts. Each new year meant another fun filled 2 week camping trip.

Linda worked various jobs over the years making dear friends along the way. When she was no longer able to work, she enjoyed, playing board games, card games, watching her favorite television shows, having a coffee together and crocheting blankets for her loved ones. Playing cards with family and friends was always a sure way to bring out Linda’s competitive nature. She had been known to leave her grandchildren several messages over the years challenging them to a good game of Trouble.

In 1999, Linda became a grandma, this proved to be one of her proudest accomplishments. She spent many years devoted to her three grandchildren, making memories that will always be cherished.

Linda is survived by her husband, Jack; her son, Jason and his wife Candi, her daughter, Tina and her husband, Brian; her three grandchildren, Marisa, Miah, Brett. She is also survived by one brother, Jake; one sister, Sharon (Rod) Paluh; nephews Chad Clelland and David Clelland Jr., nieces, DeAnna Paluh, Rhonda (Paluh) Mendenhall and Nicole (Paluh) Irvine.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, maternal and paternal grandparents, her mother-in-law, father-in-law, numerous aunts, and uncles.

A public vigil prayer service will be held Thursday, January 12th at 7:00 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home. Public Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm.

Private Family Mass of Christian Burial, Friday January 13th at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: St. John’s Cemetery in New Rockford, ND.
