Kevin King — 64,

Coulee, ND, died Monday,

January 31, 2022 at his

home.

Kevin Joseph King was

born on June 17, 1957, to

Marlyn and Dorothy

(Goettle) King in Minot,

ND. He was raised and

educated in Kenmare, gra-

duating from Kenmare

High School in 1975. He

furthered his education by

attending college for auto

mechanics in Phoenix, AZ

for two years, then attend-

ed welding school in Po-

catello, ID.

On July 2, 1982, Kevin

was united in marriage to

Becky Froseth. From this

union they had a son,

Blaine. They farmed at

Boggy Creek, Manitoba for

a time. The couple later

divorced.

Kevin was united in

marriage to Tahnee Kim

on November 26, 1994

and together they had

three sons, Spencer,

Tanner, and Andrew.

They made their home in

Coulee, ND, where they

raised their four sons.

Kevin was a lifelong farm-

er and was happiest when

he was working with the

land alongside his family.

He was the fourth genera-

tion of the King family to

farm the family home-

stead, and was proud to

pass the legacy onto the

next generation.

Kevin enjoyed many

years of fishing, going for

pontoon rides and time

spent with family and

friends at Deep Water Bay

on Lake Sakakawea. Kevin

enjoyed following his

sons’ sports activities, and

it was the highlight of

many evenings. He always

looked forward to hunting

season in Coulee, fishing

trips to Canada with

friends, and ski trips to

Montana with his family.

He spent lots of time play-

ing cards and cribbage.

The time spent with his

sons was priceless. He

had an incredible amount

of patience, and it showed

as he taught his sons

throughout his lifetime.

Kevin was baptized and

confirmed at St.Anthony’s

Catholic Church in Don-

nybrook.

He was an active

member of Trinity Luth-

eran Church, rural Ken-

mare. He served on the

Farmers Union Oil Board

of Directors. He was a lov-

ing husband, father, son,

grandpa, brother and

friend and will be missed

by all that knew him.

Kevin is survived by:

wife of 28 years, Tahnee;

sons, Blaine (Jenna), Bot-

tineau, Spencer, Tanner,

and Andrew all of Coulee;

three grandchildren,

Bronko, Marly, and Daisy,

all of Bottineau; mother,

Dorothy King, Coulee; sis-

ters, Joan Mattson, Minot,

Rita King, Minot, Mary

(Perry) Kress, Bismarck,

and Monica Bangen, Pla-

za, ND; brothers, David

(Stephanie), Coulee,

Frank (Lisa), Princeton,

MN, Paul (Kim), Prior

Lake, MN; father and

mother-in-law, Albert and

Connie Lindahl, Sawyer;

sisters-in-law, Tracy

(Mark) Killian, O’Fallon,

MO, Andrea (Ross)

Munns, Mandan, ND; and

many aunts, uncles,

nieces, nephews, and

cousins also survive.

Kevin was preceded in

death by his father, Mar-

lyn King; brothers-in-law,

Kevin Mattson and Del-

Ray Bangen.

Visitation: Sunday,

February 6, 2022 from 4

until 5 p.m. at St. Agnes

Catholic Church, Ken-

mare, ND with a vigil ser-

vice at 5 p.m. at the

church.

Funeral Service: Mon-

day, February 7, 2022 at

11 a.m. at St. Agnes

Catholic Church, Ken-

mare. The funeral service

will be videotaped and

uploaded to the website

Burial: will take place

in the spring of 2022 at

the Coulee Cemetery,
