Clarice Nickle, 80,

Minot, died Thursday,

February 3, 2022, in a

Minot hospital.

Clarice was born July

15, 1941, in Bottineau, ND

to Arthur and Gladys

(White) Naumann. She

grew up and received her

education in the commun-

ity of Kramer, ND, gra-

duating from Kramer High

School in 1959.

Clarice was united in

marriage to Harlan Nickle

on June 7, 1959, at Zion

Lutheran Church in Kra-

mer, ND. They called

Minot, ND home for the

rest of their lives.

Clarice went to work in

the dietary department of

Harrison School, spend-

ing six years as a cook un-

til moving on to Speed-

way Restaurant for the

next decade of her life.

Clarice found employ-

ment in a variety of indus-

tries and positions that in-

cluded her time as a desk

clerk at the Dakota Inn,

retiring in 2008.

Clarice was a member

of St. Mark’s Lutheran

Church, Minot.

Clarice enjoyed crafting,

crocheting, baking and

was often found with a

book in her hand. She

will be remembered for

her knack of remembering

birthdays and her kind

and caring way with her

grandchildren, neighbors

and friends.

Clarice’s family will be

forever grateful the loving

and tender care provided

by the physicians and

nurses of Trinity Hospital

and Minot Health &

Rehab.

Clarice is survived by

her children Lori (Darin)

Heizelman, rural Sawyer,

ND, Lloyd Nickle, Minot,

ND and Lisa (Kevin) Var-

berg, Minot; grandchil-

dren Dustin Heizelman,

Abigail McNeiley, Heather

Nickle and Brianna Var-

berg; great-grandchildren,

Bentley Hovey, Paisley

Hovey, Aiden Nickle, Dal-

ton Heizelman, Genevieve

Heizelman and Aiden

Nickle, Arya Nickle and

Seth Nickle; sister JoAnn

(Glen) Scott, Brandon,

Manitoba, Canada;

in-laws Rodney (Janet)

Nickle, Deering, ND,

Sharon Raveling, and Vio-

na Nickle, both of Minot;

along with numerous

nieces and nephews.

Clarice was preceded in

death by her parents, hus-

band Harlan, son, Larry,

granddaughter Lindsay

Hovey, twin sister Clara

Naumann, sister Doris

Kyle and brother Arthur

Naumann.

Funeral Service: 2:00

p.m. Monday, February 7,

2022, at St. Mark’s Luth-

eran Church, Minot. To
