L. Norman Fimreite, 79,

Minot, died Wednesday,

April 29, 2020 in a Minot

Nursing Home.

Norman was born April

16, 1941 at Minot, North

Dakota the son of Oscar

and Leona (Larson) Fim-

reite. He was raised in

Minot and graduated from

Minot High School in

1960. He was employed

with Porter Brothers Me-

tal and Recycling business

until he was injured in a

work-related accident at

the age of 22.

Norman was cared for

by his parents after the ac-

cident and then entered

Trinity Nursing Home,

where he had lived for the

past 32 years.

Norman was a member

of St. Paul’s Lutheran

Church, Minot and en-

joyed playing cards and

watching Days of Our

Lives.

He is survived by: his

sisters, Judy Jorgensen

and Sheron Kupser, both

of Minot; along with

several nieces and

nephews including: Kathy

Younker, Karla

McDonald, Kristi Kupser,

Konnie Hardy, Carrie

Sessing, Kevin Jorgensen,

Lisa Jorgensen, Richie

Buettner, Mike Buettner

and LeAnn Buettner

Norman was preceded

in death by his parents, a

brother, LaVerne and a

sister, Jackie Buettner.

Funeral Service: A

private family service (ob-

serving current Covid res-

trictions) will take place

on Saturday, May 2, 2020

at 10:30 a.m. in St Paul’s

Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Norwich

Cemetery, Norwich.

Visitation: A public

viewing will take place on

Friday, May 1, 2020 from

4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas
